is a group of volunteers who give their time and love to the rescued Sheepdogs who come into the Program
We receive Sheepdogs from owner turn-ins, shelters and dog pounds, .Many of our rescue Sheepdogs are in good health but for whatever reason, need to find new homes. Occasionally, we take in a not-quite-so-healthy dog who we nurse back to health for placement.
The Fee for Adoption usually offsets any medical expenses that we may encounter with our dogs. All adopted Sheepdogs arrive at their new, forever home with the following medical history: vaccinations, clean ears, spayed/neutered, and HW-negative..
Fostering atinvolves socializing the Sheepdog with other dogs, children and guests in and outside the home. Most of our Sheepdogs do not require much socializing due to the breed's easy-going, loving personality, However, a small number do. When a Rescue spends time at the foster home, it enables our foster parents to observe the Sheepdog and pass on valuable information to the new owner.
